BEACH TENNIS ALREADY IN OUR OFFER !!!

Tennis, like before volleyball, football or handball, has its beach version. Beach tennis, however, does not quite resemble its precursor. The ball cannot touch the ground here, and the net is suspended at the head height of the players.

Beach tennis was created in the early 1970s in Italy. In 2007, beach tennis became a professional sport approved by the ITF International Tennis Federation. Italians and Brazilians have dominated the games for many years.

In Poland, this sport is just beginning, but our players are becoming more and more successful. One of the stars of our team is Sylwia Mikołajczuk, who, at the 2018 World Championships in Barcelona, won a silver medal.

Beach tennis is a combination of tennis, badminton and beach volleyball. It is played with special rackets that have no string like traditional tennis rackets. Instead, they are completely built-up and have only small holes that help overcome air resistance. Also, the balls are slightly different because they have reduced pressure, i.e. they are softer. The net is suspended at a height of 170 centimeters, making the game look more like badminton than tennis. Especially, that the player doesn’t have a second service. The let service (net), i.e. the service with the touch of the net, is also not recognized. The most important difference, however, is that a beach tennis ball cannot touch the ground. So always play it straight in the air.

The field is exactly the same as beach volleyball: 16 meters long and 8 meters wide.

Sand

Preferably made of high strength polypropylene, strand thickness 3 mm, mesh 4.5cm. Dimensions 9.50 x 1,00 m. 17.,70 m long Kevlar rope, side reinforcements with polyester rods, 4 edges finished with yellow tape 80 mm wide. The net should be hung at a height of 1.70 meters.

Exactly the same as in tennis, except that at 40-40 (the so-called golden ball) there is no advantage - winning action wins the game. There are also no service repetitions.

It is mainly a two-player game, but it is possible to play single (court width 4.5m). Services from above and below are allowed. A rally is ended when the ball hits the opponent's field, behind the opponent's field and into the net.
