Physical education lessons for students is one of the most popular school subjects, because that is when they can relieve their excess energy and let's not hide - it is the easiest school subject.

As far as WF itself is important, the individual exercises, so called gymnastics, are also important. Physical education lessons teachers usually spend one or two hours a week on gymnastics and the rest on team games and other sports.

What is the gymnastics, what gymnastic devices will be needed for exercise and why is this form of exercise especially recommended for children by physiotherapists?

WHY IS A GYMNASTICS LESSON SO IMPORTANT?

The youngest people during the development of the body are particularly vulnerable to posture defects and various types of diseases, which can lead to the development of diseases later in life. Moreover, gymnastics lessons or physical education in general are the only form of physical activity for many students. Nowadays, young people spend a lot of time on tablets, smartphones and computers forgetting about sport.

Gymnastics in primary school has many advantages:

● ensures proper development of the spine, joints and muscles,

● corrects posture defects,

● it has a positive effect on concentration,

● increases the body's immunity,

● promotes self-discipline and establishment of relationships with peers.

Moreover, gymnastics can arouse interest of many people, which in time will turn into a real passion for this sport.

CORRECTIVE GYMNASTICS EQUIPMENT - WHAT SHOULD A SCHOOL HAVE?

Gymnastics in primary classes is obligatory, so the school should take care of properly completed equipment to perform all exercises.

The necessary equipment in the gymnasium is above all:

● wall bars,

● vaulting bucks and vaulting boxes,

● gym mats and exercise mats,

● springboards (for long jump),

● medicine balls.

A wall bar is a basic element of every gym at school, but also at all kinds of sports facilities - gyms or rehabilitation rooms. It is one of the universal elements in sports halls, which has many advantages that positively influence the posture and more.

Wall bars enable exercises to be performed on different parts of the body, including stretching and strengthening exercises, e.g. abdominal or shoulder muscles.






The necessary equipment of the gymnasium are primarily antislip gymnastic mats, which ensure the safety of students during the exercises.

Depending on the exercise performed and the teacher's preferences, there can be various gymnastic mats. However, it is important that they adequately protect and ensure maximum safety, while facilitating exercises as much as possible.

Gymnastics is not the only moment when a mat will be useful. It is also ideal for rehabilitation rooms or other types of sports facilities. It is important that it is made of high quality anti-slip material.
